Thermo King From Marshall Gets Thumbs Up From Leading Welsh Distribution Company

Cambridge, 1st February 2012:  N R Evans Logistics, one of the UK’s leading temperature controlled distribution companies, has selected Marshall Fleet Solutions to replace its 45 Thermo King refrigeration units now at the end of their life cycle, with the latest Thermo King SLX Spectrum units.

Headquartered in Wales, N R Evans delivers over £500m of chilled products each year from seven depots across the UK, using high specification vehicles and trailers to ensure a reliable and efficient service.  The company selected the latest SLX Spectrums because of their design innovation and engineering, and the significantly increased standards of reliability that comes from modern engineering.  The presently installed Thermo King refrigeration units have provided the company with a long-term, robust service which has resulted in the company selecting the brand for the updating operation.

Benefits of the Thermo King SLX Spectrums  include a reduced fuel bill due to the Spectrum’s low energy consumption, and minimised environmental impact.  The unit also delivers maximum cooling capacity during temperature pull-down for rapid pre-cooling and during temperature recovery after door openings.

Marshall Fleet Solutions’ Managing Director, Andrew Howells says:  “The combination of Marshall Fleet Solutions support and the Thermo King product has clearly proved its worth for N R Evans, providing the company with a long-term history of reliability. This combined with the latest innovation resulted in selection of the new units.”

Neil Evans, Managing Director of N R Evans says:  “Our business depends on keeping our fleet running reliably and efficiently. We need to ensure that we maintain these levels of customer service so based on our experience of working with Marshall and the Thermo King units making the decision became an easy one as we are confident that the quality of the units and the support will keep us rolling.”
