DAF Trucks Selects Marshall Fleet Solutions to Support Indesit Fleet
Cambridge, 23rd April 2012: Marshall Fleet Solutions has been chosen
by DAF Trucks to support the maintenance of the Ratcliff Tail Lifts and JR Industries Shutter doors on Indesit Company UK’s latest fleet of 36 DAF vehicles. The companies already have a longstanding working relationship, spanning ten to fifteen years with DAF, which has secured Marshall Fleet Solutions’ position as a preferred supplier for Indesit Company UK.
Specification for the whole vehicle design was devised by DAF, to provide a complete platform for this Indesit Company UK fleet which serves the retail home delivery market on a day-to-day basis, delivering Hotpoint and Indesit appliances. Such a demanding market brings with it particular challenges and difficulties, operating on tight time schedules and delivering goods in perfect condition. In order to meet these challenges, standards are driven at the highest possible level. Compliance with legislation is a crucial part of the service, with a considerable focus on internal and external auditing.
The fleet is operated under the strict scrutiny of Paul Pinfold, Fleet Operations Manager at Indesit Company UK who recently won the accolade of Motor Transport magazine’s “Fleet Engineer of the Year 2011”. “It’s my job to run this fleet to an incredibly high standard, and that has to be reflected in our choice of suppliers and the goods they provide to us.”
