Marshall Fleet Solutions wins follow on order for truck and trailer fridge units
Cambridge 12th April 2011: Langdons, UK distributor of chilled and frozen foods, has placed a further contract with Marshall Fleet Solutions (part of Cambridge-based Marshall Land Systems), for the supply of nine T1000 truck refrigeration units and fifteen SLX Spectrum trailer refrigeration units.
Using the latest GreentechTM engine technology both unit models will offer Langdons cost-saving benefits by minimising fuel consumption, as well as support the company’s environmental responsibilities by reducing engine emissions. The SLX Spectrum, as a multi-temperature unit, presents the best solution for a large number of different trailer configurations
Marshall Fleet Solutions has supported Langdons for a number of years, keeping the company’s vehicles running smoothly from the hub of its large chilled depot in Bridgwater, Somerset where Marshall Fleet Solutions’ engineers are permanently based on site.
Graham Millard, Fleet Engineer from Langdons said: “We have to run a tight and smooth operation, so it’s important that we have the most efficient equipment and the best maintenance available, especially when we are dealing with exacting demands of some of the biggest UK retailers. Marshall plays an important role in helping us achieve that.”
“This contract is borne out of the success of a longstanding relationship between Langdons and Marshall Fleet Solutions. We have proved our commitment to good products and service, which is why we have won this further business,” said Peter Callaghan, Chief Executive of parent company Marshall Land Systems.
